Deep in the darkest part of me
My soul reveals a raging sea
Control is what I need and long for
Oh give to me the peace I need
Let this heart of stone be softened now,
For you to shape and mold, with those
Hands so reassuring stretched out for me to hold.
With a word you calmed the sea
With a gesture of your hand
I find it easy to believe
Though hard to understand
It was the power of a mighty God divine
Only you can calm this angry heart of mine
You shelter me from the storm
That drives its winds across my heart
I feel the rain as drops of pain
The more we drift apart.
I blame myself no other one
There is no fault above
I heard you speak but made my heart deaf to your cries of love
With a word you calmed the sea
With a gesture of your hand
I find it easy to believe
Though hard to understand
It was the power of a mighty God divine
Only you can calm this angry heart of mine
The disciples went and woke him, saying, “Master, Master, we’re going to drown!” He got up and rebuked the wind and the raging waters; the storm subsided, and all was calm.

Carla, you made my day…I’m so glad you enjoyed it. I really like your blog as well. You have a beautiful family and as I perused your blog I particularly loved when you said, “I truly believe that this is no chance meeting.” It was so warm and inviting and…well full of Jesus. Thank you for that warm hug.
I am truly humbled and honored by your kind words. I have never thought about guest posting, but there is always a first time. I would love to hear about how that works. Tell me more.
Thanks so much for stopping by.

I love this so much because it reflects my life. I’m like those disciples in the same boat with Jesus but still worried sick while Christ was like, hey chill. I’m here. I got your back. Always a comfort to be reminded of that. 😀

You took the words right out of my mouth. I completely understand because that’s where my head usually is too. So happy for the moments when His greatness hits me and I’m able to rest on him. Thanks so much for dropping by. 🙂
